How to Report an Absence

1. Call the Attendance Office at 260-563-8050 on the same day as the absence. Make sure to state the reason for the absence. Voicemail is available 24 hours a day.

2. REMINDER: Email will NOT be accepted since we cannot verify the sender.

3. Late arrivals/Early dismissals should be called by 9:00 AM.

Full Absence Policy

To add money to your student's meal account, you may add money electronically or deposit cash or check at the school office.

To add money electronically, start by logging into Skyward Family Access

Once in Skyward:

1. Go to Food Service
2. Make a payment (key is next to name)
3. Select one time payment or set up auto replenish
4. Put in dollar amount
5. Add to cart
6. Check out

If you have not set up a RevTrak account it will direct you to do so.

Please note there is some delay from the time of payment until it is seen in Skyward updates. There are times the mobile app doesn't operate as well when loading lunch money so a desktop is a better option for this process. 

On two hour delays, morning vocational students must arrive in time for Period 7.

When school must be delayed or closed due to inclement weather, MSDWC will communicate to families via the Skyward notification system. Announcements will also be posted to the district and school websites, along with Facebook and Twitter accounts. Guardians are encouraged to update their Skyward settings and contact information to ensure correct notification.

Full Inclement Weather Policy

We aim to make student drop-off and pick-up safe for all students and drivers. Parents should enter the east parking lot entrance. Parents with Northfield-only students should drop-off and pick-up at the front entrance, while parents with Northfield and Sharp Creek students should utilize the east gym entrance. Buses will utilize the parking lot west of Northfield. Student drivers can park in the parking lot east of the building.

SpeakUp for Safety Tipline

SpeakUp for Safety is a system utilized throughout the district that allows students to easily report safety concerns such as:
